Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology
Pursue an entry-level career in animal health and wellness as a veterinary technician with the skills and insights you’ll build in the Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology program from Baker College.
As a licensed veterinary technician, you’ll be equipped with the tools to make a difference for animal health in small and large animal hospitals, veterinary offices, and animal clinics, from performing X-rays to safely administering anesthesia for surgical procedures. This 63-credit-hour limited-enrollment program provides a comprehensive education for aspiring vet techs in classroom sessions, high-tech lab work, and hands-on work experiences to help you prepare to sit for relevant licensing exams. It covers a range of veterinary care essentials, including animal laboratory procedures, nursing, diagnostic imaging, pathology, pharmacology, and more.
