Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology

Pursue an entry-level career in animal health and wellness as a veterinary technician with the skills and insights you’ll build in the Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology program from Baker College.

As a licensed veterinary technician, you’ll be equipped with the tools to make a difference for animal health in small and large animal hospitals, veterinary offices, and animal clinics, from performing X-rays to safely administering anesthesia for surgical procedures. This 63-credit-hour limited-enrollment program provides a comprehensive education for aspiring vet techs in classroom sessions, high-tech lab work, and hands-on work experiences to help you prepare to sit for relevant licensing exams. It covers a range of veterinary care essentials, including animal laboratory procedures, nursing, diagnostic imaging, pathology, pharmacology, and more. Programmatically accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association, Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (AVMA CVTEA)
